The forum sees itself as innovating force for the development of versatile 360° technologies, presentation, research and enhancements of mobile 360° fulldome applications (content, recording and projection technologies combined with olfactory and haptic elements, space and projection surfaces, screening technologies and marketing).

The 360°lab is an open, vivid and international network of companies and institutions from media, science, politics and economy. Together they want to further the new development and enhancements of marketable products and services in this domain.

Frequently the 360°lab organizes network events and forwards information on actual developments and events in this field. As research laboratory the forum plans to hold several workshops for immersive 360° experiments.
